Before casting your votes this off-season, I want to take a moment and give appropriate recognition to the following three GMs for their efforts in being a candidate for GM of the Year. This will be a slightly biased take no doubt, as any voting is, but here's who I think should deserve 1st, 2nd and 3rd votes and why.
1. GM of the Year vote goes to: Juddy
In no time, Jud helped take the Boston Bruins out of the decade-long bubble team identity we've all known them for through several GM's with varying successes, and set the ground work for their current status as division leaders. Through shrewd moves he made them attractive again: their roster is loaded, their specialty teams are both good, and they have an extra second round in the upcoming draft. They would have also had two extra firsts, but that loss is not on him. This accomplishment compounded by the fact he's still running two other successful teams and shouldering PA duties. This would make a very strong case for 1st place voting, and it would be deserved as he's responsible for what seems to be the 2nd biggest workload on staff who doesn't need to do so.
2. Runner up vote goes to: Flo.
I like him. I like his moves this year, and he's never rude.
3. Honorable mention vote: Stew.
Most active GM deserves the recognition. Seriously, 3 teams he's manning. I thought that wasn't allowed but Joe made the Stew exception rule because the man gets bored and loves to trade.

Edit: made changes because I read the announcement but not the thread that had different information, or that the Isles won the cup last year.
