Big Improvements to Rookies
Last year the Boston Bruins drafted John Termini, and after spending a few weeks on the farm he was traded to Philadelphia for Brandon Brindisi. With Boston’s youth movement this seemed a little out of character, although Brindisi is only 26 Termini was 18. GM Juddy has other moves in place to acquire more young talent though. His first move was trading veteran Nico Hischier to the Ottawa Senators for their 1st round pick and Bacon N’Egger. Egger has turned into an absolute defensive stud for this team, he played in the first round loss to the Washington Capitals last year to help his growth and made the team out of training camp this year. In 12 games this year he has 1 goal and 2 assists, but has 13 giveaways to 28 takeaways, he is also a -5 on a line that doesn’t put up many points. “His offense needs a little work still but we love his defensive style and the grit he brings to our line up.” Said Juddy
One of the next moves that was made was trading rookie defensemen T.J. Joseph and Ottawa’s 1st round pick to Chicago for rookie Justin Howarth. Howarth is the exact opposite of E’gger, with offense being his strong point. He has 5 goals and 5 assists in 12 games playing with Stephan and Kaakko/Nyqvist. He will need to work on his defensive game but we see him being one of the top 6 forwards in Boston for a long time.

Is Kaako Being Shopped
The Boston Bruins have been without their premier sniper in Kaako, but they have been playing much better since he went down with injuries. Boston is in need of depth two way forwards and with giving up several draft picks to sign Nyqvist in the offseason, Kaako may be their best tradeable asset.
“We have to consider everything, our top like is now Stephan, Howarth, and Nyqvist and they have been playing great. We’d be hard pressed to break that up, and Kaako doesn’t deserve to be in the 3rd line either. We have a big decision to make very soon and we’ll see what happens.” Said GM Juddy
What could they get for Kaako? Would they want to replenish their draft picks? Go after that depth the need? Or would they keep him and play him 3rd line minutes? Time will tell.
