Hi all - I wanted to say that I am considering picking up where Brandon will eventually leave us off and act as a commissioner/simmer for PTPHL or however we want to move forward. In that vein, I want to confirm people will stick around, and that whatever decision we make going forward is "by the people" -- either continuing this file, starting fresh, or looking to do both.
Let me know your thoughts on moving forward. In case anyone was concerned about my role -- I will not own a team in this league. I will be a temporary GM for 1 season, max, and rotate on any open teams (essentially a permanent temporary GM). I also follow the LEAN methodology; anyone who works in IT knows it, but if you don't -- the simple solution is often the best -- and I'll look to continue the same rules/design we have here and simplify where I can.
Most importantly, I can't do this without your support. We've built a strong relationship over the past year and I hope my GM activity shows that I'm serious about doing this, and I hope you will join me and give me an opportunity to act as your commissioner moving forward.

I'd like to start fresh myself but would do whatever a simmer wanted!

I’m in favor of continuing this file, BUT we have so few GMs and getting new people in a league that’s in season 12 is near impossible and having you sim two leagues is too much to ask. So I vote for a restart, but if you continue to sim PTPHL the old file I will be around for that as well.

I’m in whatever direction we take. I got to agree that restating will bring in new GMs versus a league that’s going in it’s 13th season.

I personally struggle with more than one league and that's already happening. Keep it simple and do one so the focus will make it better. When the announcement was made this was the final season I immediately put all attention in the fantasy league. But I'll stick around if it's not too demanding. Which if you're going to simplify, it probably won't be. I am all for streamlining.

Thanks for everyone's feedback and vote of confidence so far. My thoughts initially are to resign PHI post-playoff run (I'll make sure they draft/resign like any other team), run CHI as my temporary this upcoming season (S13) as I move to the Commish role. Then my plan is to have at least another full season of PTPHL, with possible spin up of a sister league -- all depending on GM wants/needs -- prior to or during S14.
As long as there is good activity doing one league, or two leagues, will not be a problem.
Will continue with basically everything we're doing here for S13 so I can see what works well and what could be opined for change, and we'll have plenty of lead time/discussion for any changes in S14 (although I wouldn't expect anything to drastic).
